Making your own Japanese garlic fried rice at home has never been easier. The original recipe does not include any meat but feel free to add in chicken, beef, pork or any other types of protein you like.

    – Ingredients –

☑ 2&1/2 cup (450 g) cooked Japanese short grain rice (make ahead and refrigerate overnight or up to a week
    ☑ 10 cloves garlic – minced (I used a garlic press)
    ☑ 3 eggs – lightly beaten
☑ ½ tsp salt and some black pepper
    ☑ vegetable cooking oil

    For sauce:
☑ 2 tbsp soy sauce (preferably Kikkoman or other Japanese brands)
    ☑ 2 tbsp sugar
☑ 2 tbsp mirin (Japanese rice wine)
    ☑ 1 tbsp oyster sauce
☑ 1 tbsp toasted seseame oil
    ☑ 2 tsp fish sauce
